Do you use Pandora? It’s free internet radio station that plays only music YOU like to hear! While this isn’t a new internet trend, it is one that many people don’t know about and are missing out on!

The Normal Kings team loves Pandora, and we use it instead of regular radio. The regular radio stations seem to play the same songs over and over, and usually you’re stuck listening to songs you never even really liked the first time you heard them.

Here’s how it works: Go to www.Pandora.com. Create an account (it’s free!). Enter some musical artists you really enjoy. You can create more than one station by putting different genres of artists in each one, but if you like variety, like me, you only need one diverse station. After you enter the artists you like, you can start listening to the radio. You will hear songs by those artists, but also songs that have similar attributes to those artists – what a fun way to find new music! As you’re listening, you can click “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” for each song you hear. This will help your radio station to continue to evolve over time, becoming more and more customized to your musical tastes. Now that I’ve been listening to Pandora for a few years, I hardly ever hear a song I don’t like, because it has weeded out the types of music I don’t enjoy.
